River ships are elegant floating hotels sailing on the Danube, Rhein, Main, Mosel, from Amsterdam to the Danube delta from March till November. The passenger capacity of these ships varies from 110 to 200, the crew is about 25-40. Guests on board are mainly American, Canadian, German or Austrian.

You will travel with your workplace from town to town, discovering new destinations, visiting interesting places, meeting new friends and working in young international team!

BASIC REQUREMENTS

Knowledge of English or/and German – level depends on the position
Older than 20 years
Qualification and/or experience on the domain
Good health, flexibility, motivation to work
Excellent team-player, engaging and social

POSITIONS AND SALARIES

Depending on the position monthly basic net wages on river ships are between 750- 3000 EUR transferred on your bank account. Collected at the end of the cruise “pool tips” is distributed equally among employees on board (between 100-150 EUR per week).

RECEPTIONIST

• experience on hotel reception + fluent English/German, another language is a plus
• monthly basic net wage: 900- 1500 EUR

NIGHT AUDITOR

• relevant experience + advanced level of English/ German
• monthly basic salary: 900-1200 EUR

COOK

• cook certificate+experience+good English/ German
• monthly basic net wage: 850- 1650 EUR

CHEF DE PARTIE, PASTRY CHEF, BAKER

• cook certificate+experience+advanced level of English/ German
• monthly basic net wage: 1200- 1500 EUR

SOUS CHEF

• certificate+experience+advanced level of English/ German
• monthly basic net wage: 1500- 2100 EUR

WAITER/WAITRESS

• experience+fluent English
• monthly basic net wage: 750- 1400 EUR

BAR TENDER

• experience+fluent English
• monthly basic net wage: 1000- 1500 EUR

CABIN STEWARDESS

• experience+good language knowledge
•  monthly basic net wage: 700- 1200 EUR

KITCHEN CLEANER

• conversational level of English
• monthly basic net wage: 700- 1000 EUR

MAITRE’D, ASST. MAITRE’D, HOUSEKEEPER, FO MANAGER

• Shipboard experience required

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Working hours
7 days per week / between 10- 12 hours per day

 4 to 9 months
